Vacuum Pump works by pumping air molecules out of a system to produce a negative pressure, this pumping action are usually associated pumping noises, this silencer or muffler is designed for reducing the noise level and give the pumps a quieter run.

How it is Connected: This mini-Silencer comes with a 1/2 male NPT connector built at the silencer. so it will go directly to the 1/2 NPT female port. If your pump has a port bigger than 1/4, this silencer may not fit to that pump, even You try to adapt this to the pump because the pump has air flow rating, the max flow rate is about 6 CFM, any bigger pump may need a bigger silencer. Look for model WMufb that may fit your pump.
