Vacuum Pump Exhaust Muffler: for VIOT and Other Selected Models of Vacuum Pumps;
Why this is needed: Rotary vane vacuum pump has an negative byproduct: Oil mist. Because the vacuum pump oil is a volatile liquid, when it lubricate the moving parts, while removing air from a closed (or semi-cloclosed) system, the lubricant(oil) is mixed and exhaust out to the environment. If the pump is used outdoor, you may not feel the oil, but if you are using the vacuum pump in a closed space, the room may get "smoky" after operating the pump. This muffler is designed and used to ease this problem.
How it is connected: this muffler come with a 3/4 inch male pipe thread. It can be used directly on VIOT rotary vane vacuum pumps:VPD12a, VPDS10, VPD8, VPD5, VPDS5. VPD3, VPDS3. This will fit on pumps with 25 mm metric exhaust port. Consult with your pump manufacture or adapter is needed.
