Stainless Steel Exhaust Muffler for VIOT and Other Brand Models of Vacuum Pumps;
Why this is needed: Vacuum Pump works by pumping air molecules out of a system to produce a negative pressure, this pumping action are usually associated pumping noises, this silencer or muffler is designed for reducing the noise level and give the pumps a quieter run. Also,
every rotary vane vacuum pump has an unintentional byproduct: Oil mist. Because the vacuum pump oil is a volatile liquid, when it lubricate the moving parts, and the moving parts will move part of the lubricant out in the exhaust stream. If the pump is used out door air, you may not feel the oil,
but if you are using the vacuum pump in a closed space, the room may get "smoky" after operating the pump for a while. Faster the air passing through
the pump, more oil mist is likely to come out of the muffler, higher the vacuum level, lesser the air flow, but faster the evaporation, which will cause greasy air too. This muffler is designed and used to ease this problem.
How it is connected: this muffler come with a 25 mm pipe thread. so it can be used to any pump that has the same sized thread for muffler connection.
This will fit these models of pumps in our inventory or sold by VIOT Brand name: VPD12a, VPDS10, VPD8, VPD5, VPDS5. VPD3, VPDS3. This will fit on 3/4 NPT thread as well.
