Bigger Muffler / Silencer for Oilless Vacuum Pumps: more air flow, less restriction, Exhaust Port 1/4 NPT; Reduce Noise
Why this is needed:
Vacuum Pump works by pumping air molecules out of a system to produce a negative pressure, this pumping action are usually associated pumping noises, this silencer or muffler is designed for reducing the noise level and give the pumps a quieter run.
Fit pump models: WVP5, WVP4, WVP3, WVP3A, WVP2, and the equivalent hardwired pumps: WH750, WH550, WH400, WH280, WH100 and other brand name pumps with 1/2 female NPT exhaust port.
How it is Connected: This mini-Silencer comes with a 1/2 male NPT connector built at the silencer. so it will go directly to the 1/2 NPT female port. If your pump has a port bigger than 1/2, this silencer may not fit to that pump, even You try to adapt this to the pump because the pump has air flow rating, the max flow rate is about 12 CFM, any bigger pump may need a bigger silencer.
